Yoga Vinyasa Flow + Yin
Flow with strength, soften into stillness. This class begins with an energising vinyasa flow- building warmth, strength, and connection- before transitioning into a deeply restorative yin practice. Move with Intention, breathe with awareness, and find balance between effort and ease.
Reformer Pilates
Feel muscles you never knew existed with our Pilates Reformer classes. Our small group classes focus on creating length, strength and tone in your body. Achieve a total body workout and elevate your heart rate while our experienced instructors ensure you are moving in a safe, challenging and mindful way. Using the Reformer has enormous benefits while making exercising more challenging or providing more support where required. Open to all levels. NOTE- 10.15am weekday Reformer classes at our Diamond Creek Studio are Immobile baby/pram friendly.
Matwork Pilates
Our Pilates Matwork classes are focused on improving coordination, strength, balance, and posture through a targeted series of full-body exercises. In Matwork Pilates flowing exercises are completed on a mat, using your body weight as resistance. We also incorporate additional equipment to add challenge to your workout including hand weights, small ball, pilates/magic circles, resistance bands, foam rollers, yoga blocks and the barre. Our instructors aim to make each class unique with a different focus in each workout all while incorporating a whole body approach. Open to all levels.
Foundations - Pilates Reformer
FreeOur foundation classes are designed for all first time students to Hurstbridge Pilates Studio or anyone needing to revisit the basics. We cover the essential principles of Pilates and ensure you have a strong foundation to attend any of our regular reformer classes. We also make sure you get to know the equipment you may use in our Studio and how to achieve a safe, challenging and effective workout. Our studio has a unique approach to teaching and practicing Pilates which has been developed over many years of practice and teaching. Pilates Foundations classes are 30 minutes long and are designed for our teachers to get to know your individual needs. Every body, no matter the level of experience, is different and will have unique areas of focus in their practice. You can repeat this class if you feel you need to revisit Pilates Foundations and improve the quality of your practice.
Stretch and Release
Stretch and Release classes are suitable to all levels and focus on flexibility and improving muscle tone using pressure and release from massage balls and foam rollers. Our instructors in depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology will ensure clients stretch and release each muscle group safely and effectively. Learn how to get the most out of each stretch to help improve your muscle health, posture and performance.
Strength and Conditioning
Our Strength & Conditioning classes utilize dumbbells as an effective way to challenge your core stability and boost your overall body strength. Throughout the class, the instructor will provide guidance on proper form and technique to ensure you get the most out of each exercise. They may also incorporate variations or modifications to accommodate different capabilities. This class is a perfect addition to your Pilates and Yoga routine as it focuses on strength principles, leaving you feeling secure in your body's abilities to lift and transfer load.
