Here's how the class types differ and who each one is for.
Reformer Pilates
Feel muscles you never knew existed with our Pilates Reformer classes. Our small group classes focus on creating length, strength and tone in your body. Achieve a total body workout and elevate your heart rate while our experienced instructors ensure you are moving in a safe, challenging and mindful way. Using the Reformer has enormous benefits while making exercising more challenging or providing more support where required. Open to all levels. NOTE- 10.15am weekday Reformer classes at our Diamond Creek Studio are Immobile baby/pram friendly.
Matwork Pilates
Our Pilates Matwork classes are focused on improving coordination, strength, balance, and posture through a targeted series of full-body exercises. In Matwork Pilates flowing exercises are completed on a mat, using your body weight as resistance. We also incorporate additional equipment to add challenge to your workout including hand weights, small ball, pilates/magic circles, resistance bands, foam rollers, yoga blocks and the barre. Our instructors aim to make each class unique with a different focus in each workout all while incorporating a whole body approach. Open to all levels.
Foundations - Pilates Reformer
freeOur foundation classes are designed for all first time students to Hurstbridge Pilates Studio or anyone needing to revisit the basics. We cover the essential principles of Pilates and ensure you have a strong foundation to attend any of our regular reformer classes. We also make sure you get to know the equipment you may use in our Studio and how to achieve a safe, challenging and effective workout. Pilates Foundations classes are 30 minutes long and are designed for our teachers to get to know your individual needs. You can repeat this class if you feel you need to revisit Pilates Foundations and improve the quality of your practice.
