Here's how the class types differ and who each one is for.
Reformer Flow
This class is designed to have you walking away after the 45minute class, feeling good within your own body. Making you feel supported, confident and stronger within your own ability. Suitable for all clients, including beginners and regulars. Low impact, flowing, dynamic class. You will enjoy the fundamentals of reformer pilates, with some optional advancements along the way, giving you a total body workout without leaving you feel exhausted. We recommend this class as a starting point before moving into our other class styles. Suitable for pre & post-natal, provided you have medical clearance and are enjoying a low-risk pregnancy.
Reformer Active
Active classes are available if you are feeling comfortable in our Reformer Flow and ready to step it up. Ready to take things up a notch? This class offers more advanced variations, blending low-impact movement with touches of cardio and strength-focused work. Expect short bursts of heart-rate-lifting fun and that familiar love-hate muscle burn. You'll move through a mix of balance and stability challenges, strong and dynamic sequences, and even the occasional jumpboard for added power. You'll leave feeling a little sweaty, energised, and progressively stronger after every session. If you have an injury that is impacting your ability to complete group classes, we recommend you attending our Reformer Flow or Strength to ensure our instructors can support you. Active classes are not suitable for Prenatal clients at any stage of their pregnancy.
Reformer Strength
Build power, tone your muscles, and feel stronger! Overtime, you will build muscle, increase strength and increase your bone density through resistance training on a reformer machine. Expect this class to be slower in pace, increasing resistance to focus on muscle groups to reach 70-80% of your max potential. Or in, Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) around a rating of 8 out of 10 in the last few reps of exercises/rounds. We have introduced new weights to our existing props now ranging between 1.85kg to 8kg dumbbells across all studios. Start where you feel comfortable, this class will be levelled for all clients. Enabling you to build up at your own pace and strength. Based on your RPE. We will allow for more rests throughout the class, to recover and reset. Allowing you to strengthen more than ever before on the reformer. You'll complete the class feeling little sweaty, energised and stronger after each and every class. Strength Classes are suitable for Prenatal clients, provided low risk and cleared by medical professional to attend group exercise. Suitable for new clients - as this class is slower in pace, with spring options based on your existing strength.
