Here's how the class types differ and who each one is for.
Studio Reformer
Open to all levels of experience. Our group reformer classes strengthen, and energise your body. Work on strength, posture, alignment, endurance, flexibility for the whole body experience. 50mins Reformer class max 4 clients *It is recommended you take a Pilates private prior to commencing into Studio Reformer classes if you are coming from injury or rehabilitation.
Semi-Private class
Our semi-private classes are specialised sessions designed for the client using the full studio apparatus, inc :Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Correctors.
Seniors Pilates
Seniors Pilates group classes are for the over 60's. Stay strong, energetic with a combination of Pilates apparatus to enhance and maintain your balance, vestibular, co ordination, muscle strength, vision, proprioception and much more. Move well and stay strong. Specialised Pilates sessions for the over 60s with BASI Pilates Faculty head trainer & Z-health educator, Shayne Smith.
Matwork
An all levels BASI Pilates matwork class, working all principles of Pilates. Class will vary each week incorporating small props like the foam roller, balls, bands
Franklin Method - Balls & Bands
Release tension, and calm the nervous system with imagery and massage balls. Using the Franklin Method balls & imagery tools your body will soak up the rest and regeneration each week. We will also use bands with dynamic exercises for strength and mobility. A 1 hour class that will leave you floating on air.
Reformer/Wunda Chair Flow
An open class to clients, instructors and anyone who is wanting to deepen their practice, and enjoy the advanced movements of BASI pilates repertoire. In studio only 4 participants, bookings essential. A(Every 2nd week we will run a Wunda Chair class) Online participants must have own reformer/Wunda Chair, with sitting box and Jumpboards and small apparatus (props- magic circle, overballs, small hand weights)
Bootybarre
Our Barre classes are sure to make each session fun and energetic. We combine yoga, dancing, traditional Pilates and many other techniques to help you sweat while working at your own pace. Our friendly trainers use the Bootybarre method to help you burn fat fast. With added heart-pumping cardio exercises, it improves body strength and flexibility – leaving you feeling balanced and in good shape.
